Gov. Abubakar donates food items to the less privileged

Governor of Bauchi State Mohammed Abubakar on Wednesday donated food items to the needy at Tafawa Balewa local government, Lusa and Boi villages in Bogoro local government area of the state.
APC chieftain Honourable Rifkatu Samson (BABY) who is also a former member of the state House of Assembly from Bogoro local government constituency, explained that items distributed include; 150 bags of rice, 50 bags of maize to the beneficiaries.
Others according to him, were 500 bags of cement, 50 bundles of zinc, 10 drums of paints, mats and kettles for selected mosques in the two local governments.
The governor who noted that orphans and widows were mostly targeted said the gesture was aimed at making them to enjoy the Sallah festival like all other citizens.
It’s also reports that the governor has also donated 50 pieces of plastic chairs, drums and cash to some churches in the areas.
The chairman council of ulama of Bogoro local government Malam Rabiu Halilu thanked the governor for the gesture promising that the items would be shared fair appealed to the state government to construct roads linking Bogoro to Lusa and Bogoro to Tambin bara in order to facilitate transportation of goods and services for the people of the area.
In his remarks, the chairman Christian Association of Nigeria [CAN], Bogoro local government chapter Reverend Zakka Gata expressed appreciation to the governor for the donation asking other politicians and well to do people in the state to emulate the gesture.
