Eid-el-Kabir: Buhari appeals for patience, understanding

President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to Nigerians to show patience and understanding as the current federal government works towards national economic recovery.
The president made the plea in his Sallah message delivered to newsmen at his residence in Daura shortly after observing the Eid el-Kabir prayer at the Daura Central Eid ground.
The president’s Sallah message was delivered by his Senior Special Assistant in Media, Malam Garba Shehu shortly after the Eid prayer.
Garba Shehu noted that significant success has been recorded in the fight,against insurgency and corruption which has served as an impetus for investment and economic growth.
He appealed for more support from Nigerians as the federal government consolidates the feats achieved on the security front and the anti-corruption crusade.
Malam Garba Shehu also cited the $5.7 billion Mambila Power project which upon completion will generate 3,050 megawatts of electrity.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari observed the Eid prayer at Kofar Arewa Eid ground alongside the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar and other members of the Daura Emirate council.
The prayer was led by Sheik Shu’aibu Na’ibi whose sermon dwelt on the need for Muslims to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim when he attempted to slaughter his son, Isma’il, in obedience to Allah’s commandments.
After the prayers and sermon, the Emir of Daura urged Nigerians to sustain prayers for President Buhari and other leaders at all levels to continue to bring about positive change.
