Arewa quit notice withdrawal timely, says ex GM Kaduna Refinery
By Stanley Onyekwere
A former General Manager of Kaduna Refinery, Engineer Kailani Muhammed has described as timely, the withdrawal of the controversial October 1 quit notice to the Igbo race living in Northern part of the country.
He commended the coalition of Arewa youth that issued the hitherto notice, for its decision to withdraw same, as it can douse tension generated by South East secessionists.
Muhammed, a renowned left wing politician and ardent supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari made this known in a press statement issued in Abuja.
He urged the elders of the south east to inculcate morality into their wards to avoid the unnecessary tension and destruction as how Nigeria was on red during the unpleasant civil war.
According to him, “Those beating the drums of war don’t know the danger of time-bomb they are nurturing and perhaps they were not born or were too young to witness the severity of the civil war which negative impact still lingers and the wounds not necessarily healed.”
He also commended President Buhari for the national broadcast he delivered immediately he resumed to work in which he sent a warning to anti-peace elements capable of putting the country on flames.
He noted that it is never too late for the younger generation of Nigeria from across the 36 states and Abuja to unite and work together to build prosperous nation by ignoring the wicked elements who disguise under sectionalism, religion and ethnicity to achieve their selfish interest.
