Senator Abdulaziz Nyako, representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District in the upper chambers of the National Assembly, has distributed farming implements, sewing machines and clothing materials to all the ward chairmen, women leaders and youth leaders of his senatorial district in Adamawa State. Making the distribution in Yola on Wednesday, Director General of Aziz Nyako campaign organization in the state, Alhaji Isah Bagalchi, explained that the gesture has became eminent as a way of giving back to the constituents, especially the party officials whose contributions to Senator Nyako's victory can never be over emphasized. Bagalchi added that for any politician to attain success in the political arena, he or she must go with the party because it was the flat form used to get to the aspired position they are occupying. He, therefore, charged all politicians to emulate the gesture of Senator Nyako who is always in contact with his constituents in thick and thin. In his keynote address, Senator Nyako tasked the beneficiaries to make judicious use of items to empower themselves and be self sufficient in the zone, suggesting to them that gone are the days when government can shoulder all their needs. Nyako stated that his campaign organization would soon embark on grassroots tour of local government under his zone to provide dividend of democracy and thank the electorates and stakeholders in the party, urging on members of the party to remain one united family. "The same way we emerge together under different political platforms to form APC party in the state, the same way we would forge ahead for the development of the state." Senator Nyako also announced that in the next coming month of May his campaign office will distribute processed farming seedlings to farmers in his senatorial zone, so as to improve productivity of their yields. He maintained that farming is a paying venture which must be taken seriously in the country and globe at large. Our correspondent reports that items distributed includes 92 swing machines,75 irrigation water pumps machines,wrappers,5yards of shadda clothing material as well as N5000 naira for transportation to each of the beneficiaries. A stalwart of the party in the state,Umar Kugama Mijinyawa, who is also former chairman of PDP in the state, used the occasion to announce the readiness of former governor Murtala Nyako to bounce back actively into politics of the state in the near future. Kugami said, people of the state are still benefiting from the legacies of the former governor like the Local Apprenticeship Scheme (LAS) as well as skill acquisition programs which empowered teeming youths in the state. Hajiya Amina Malamre, one of the beneficiaries, thanked the senator for the good gesture, assuring that women folk in the party would not let down the party no matter what.
