PDP To Buhari, FG: We Initiated & Paid For New Abuja Airport, Appreciate Us

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation (PPCO) has said that the new Abuja airport terminal project was designed, conceptualised and fully financed by the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

The main opposition party faulted what it described as attempts by President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) to claim credit for the project.

President Buhari yesterday inaugurated the new airport terminal, a development the PDP said was mainly designed to score cheap political points ahead of the 2019 general elections.

A statement by the spokesman for the PDP Campaign Organisation, Kola Ologbondiyan, maintained that it is public knowledge that the Buhari administration made no contributions towards the funding and execution of the project.

PDP added that the ceremony marking the commissioning of the project was yet another failed media stunt by APC aimed at posturing and claiming credit for a project his administration made no contribution towards the funding and execution.
