Niger youths rally for Buhari, hold special prayer session

No fewer than two thousand pro-Buhari supporters have staged a solidarity rally in Minna, the Niger state capital, expressing joy for his safe return from United Kingdom medical vacation, where they held special prayer session for the President.
Convener of the protest, Comrade Umar Mohammed, in an interview said that the youths were mobilized to come out enmasse to celebrate the safe return of President, Muhammadu Buhari, “We are happy Baba is back”.
Mohammed urged Nigerians to give Buhari the maximum support irrespective of political affiliation, religious and tribal differences, saying he still remains father of the nation not just a President.
He added that the group will organize Walima and special prayer session for President Muhammadu Buhari which was slated to hold at Abdulsalam Abubakar Youth center, Minna immediately after the rally.
Another protester who identified himself as M C Tagwaye, blamed those calling for President Buhari’s resignation before his return to be ignorance of the Constitution and unpatriotic hence he handed over to his Vice before he went on medical vocation with National Assembly nod.
One of the female protesters, Aisha Umar, who stated that the President’s return took Nigerians unaware, adding that “we are happy that he is back to continue the good work he left as a result of his ill health” however we prayed for his good health
The protesters who were received by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Solomon Nyaze, however commended the youth protesters for their peaceful conduct.
He assured the pro-Buhari protesters that the Governor of the state has given an approval for another mega rally where he will be present to receive them and applauded for the solidarity rally.
Nyaze hinted that various associations, tribes, youths and APC supporters had approached his office to organized a mega solidarity rally for President Buhari and in support of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for his enormous achievements in different sectors of the economy.
Motorbikes and vehicles were seen displaying their joy form Mobil roundabout to the government house for the safe arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari from United Kingdom medical vocation that lasted for 104 days.
