PRESIDENCY DENIES ORJI UZOR KALU VISITED BUHARI | Mr Olumide's Blog

The presidency on Monday, June 5, denied that former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu, visited President Muhammadu Buhari in London.

A report by Sahara Reporters quoting a presidential source claims that the former governor lied about meeting President Buhari.

There were no additional details given by the newspaper. NAIJ.com cannot independently verify this claim.

The former governor who said he visited London to have first-hand knowledge on the state of health of Buhari, decried that some Nigerians were spreading messages of falsehood about the health of Buhari, rather than praying for him recover.

Kalu also disclosed that the president will be back in the country before June 11.

He said: “I went to Washington to visit some business partners and from there stopped at London to see Mr President, who is recovering very fast . I am excited over the state of health of President Buhari despite the hate messages people were spreading about him. I am disappointed with the statement coming from some Nigerians about the health of Mr President”.

In a previous report by NAIJ.com President Buhari departed for London, UK on Sunday, May 7, for medical treatment shortly after he received the 82 released Chibok girls.

He left the country after he met with the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Senate president, Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara.
