Defence Minister commissions N760m projects in Zamfara

Marking 6 year anniversary of the administration of Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar of Zamfara state, the Minister of Defence, Brigadier Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali (rtd), has commissioned two Command Secondary Schools and a solar powered motorised borehole constructed in Talata Mafara, Bungudu and Gusau local government councils respectively.
The Minister, while commissioning the Girls Command Secondary School in Gusau, the state capital said, the two schools are unique in terms of both establishment, teacher recruitment and enrolment of pupils, the development which clearly indicated that the most required sound education would be achieved.
He contended further that, the two established schools could serve to help in leading to addressing education system in the state, adding that, "All the needed teaching and learning materials would adequately be provided, this is in addition to the recruitment of well trained teachers who would be equipped with devices for researches".
He, however, explained that only 4 kinds of the Command Secondary Schools were established in the Northern part of the country with 2 in Kaduna to cover the entire North West and 2 in Makurdi to serve the entire North Central.
Also speaking, hosting Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar stressed that, the decision to meet all the demands for the construction of the schools was to ensure fulfillment of promises made towards developing education sector in the state.
Yari also emphasized that, "The construction of the 84 semi-urban water across the state was to make sure that acute shortage of water has become history in the state as promised during campaign days".
