Babachir, Oke: Osinbajo panel submits report Monday luxiitop
By Lawrence Olaoye The three-man Presidential Investigative Committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari, under the chairmanship of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, probing allegations of corruption against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), David Babachir Lawal and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke, will submit its report to President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday. The committee which had 14 days to conduct the probe was expected to turn-in its findings to the President yesterday. Other members of the panel include the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno. The panel was to inquire into the discovery of foreign and local currencies by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Osbourne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos and the allegations of due process violations in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE). According to the spokesman to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, in a statement made available to newsmen, the panel completed its assignment yesterday on schedule.
