Koko Master hunts for new talent with CREAM
D’banj is hoping to bring the dreams of 10 Nigerians to
reality this month with his new talent initiative called CREAM.
Through the lottery service, D’banj plans to support content
creators and give talent the opportunity to develop and promote themselves in
five sectors of the creative industry including music, videos, collabos,
showcase talent and showbiz.
Today, September 1, 2016, the ‘Oliver Twist’
crooner and
members of his D’Kings Men (DKM) media outfit met at the Federal Palace Hotel
Lagos for the first draw.
"We have created this platform to reward tons of
creative minds out there who don’t have the right platforms to showcase their
talent to the world", he said.
"Nigeria is filled with so much art and creativity and
what better way to promote this great heritage than to give these young minds
the right platforms. I am happy to bring to my loyal fans and lovers of good
music this exciting platform that the world can benefit from.”
CREAM which stands for 'Creative, Reality, Entertainment,
Arts and Music' was launched on August 1, 2016. It is supported by the Bank of
Industry and MTN. The Koko master was also joined at the event by Bank of
Industry representative Uche Nwaogu, and 00Media CEO Tanya Merit.
Over 500,000 entries were made in August. He explained for
each category, five people would be picked based on talent and another five
would be chosen based on ‘luck’ from the draw. This draw will be on a monthly
basis.
The winners will get the chance to score a recording deal
which consists of recording a track, shooting a music video, a collaboration
with any artiste of their choice, talent showcase, talent branding, promotion
and marketing.
